My Artwork
Hand-Drawn Pastel Animal Portraits
Welcome to Heartwork by Jasmine, where custom pastel animal portraits are created as deeply personal tributes—honouring the beauty, memory, and spirit of each beloved companion. Alongside commissioned work, I also create wildlife pieces inspired by a lifelong connection to the natural world, with select works available as fine art prints.
Each piece is hand-drawn with care, intended to hold meaning as both artwork and keepsake.
Each commission begins with connection—learning about your animal, their personality, and the story you share. From there, I translate those details into a one-of-a-kind portrait that reflects not only their likeness, but their presence.
I invite you to explore my work, whether you feel drawn to a piece already created or wish to have something uniquely made for you or a loved one.
Upcoming Exhibitions
I’d love for you to experience my artwork in person at these upcoming exhibitions. Whether inspired by beloved companions or moments in the wild, each piece is created to honour the individuality and quiet presence of the animal. Click “Info” for more information.

About Me
Hi, I’m Jasmine.
Born and raised in Uxbridge, Ontario, my work is rooted in a lifelong reverence for nature and the animal kingdom. Animals have always been a source of intrigue, companionship, and quiet inspiration in my life—what began as a childhood instinct to draw them has naturally evolved into the work I’m honoured to create today.
As a mother of two, I hold a deep awareness of how fleeting and meaningful our time can be, and how profoundly we’re shaped by the lives we love. This perspective gently informs my work, bringing a sense of care and intention to every piece I create.
I’m drawn to the subtle nuances that make each animal entirely their own—the softness in their expression, the presence they carry, the quiet emotion behind their gaze. My process is both patient and immersive, working primarily in pastel with professional, lightfast, archival-grade materials, and guided by a focus on the delicate shifts in colour that bring depth and life to each portrait.
Each piece is created not simply as a likeness, but as a lasting and refined tribute—an artwork that honours the bond you share.
Our animals are with us for only a brief chapter, yet the imprint they leave is enduring—worthy of remembrance, honour, and care.
